Audioslave To Return For First Time Since 2005 For Anti-Trump Show

Another band is joining the anti-Trump movement as Inauguration Day approaches - this time, though, it's a pretty esteemed artist. Chris Cornell's Audioslave will be returning to the stage for the first time since 2005 for an Anti-Inaugural Ball in Los Angeles, California.

The show will take place this Saturday, January 20 at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, California. The event is hosted by Prophets Of Rage (featuring Tom Morello, who is also a part of Audioslave), who released the following message regarding the event:

The Anti-Inaugural Ball is a celebration of resistance. Resistance to racism. Resistance to sexism. Resistance to homophobia. Resistance to bullying. Resistance to environmental devastation. Resistance to fascism. Resistance to Donald Trump.

We are staring down the barrel of a dystopian nightmare unless we act NOW, unless we fight back NOW. We intend to create ‘No Trump Zones’ across the country; in our homes, our schools, our places of work, and our concert stages. Bad Presidents make for great music. Join us as we get loud and stand together to defend our rights, our country, and our planet.
— Prophets Of Rage

Other acts on the bill include Vic MensaJackson Browne, Jack Black, and The Los Angeles Freedom Choir. If you're interested in seeing the show, tickets are available now. We'll keep you updated on any potential details on Audioslave's return, should there be more beyond this.
