Muse and Thirty Seconds To Mars Join Forces For Summer Amphitheater Tour

Two or the biggest alternative rock bands are coming together for the first time! Muse and Thirty Seconds To Mars will be hitting the road together with PVRIS this summer to perform shows around the United States and Canada surrounding various festival appearances.

The two bands had already been announced for the Firefly Festival in Dover, Delaware and the Bunbury Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio. Images found on Muse's and Warner Bros. Records' websites have revealed the tour information for the bands' appearances elsewhere

The tour will be Muse's first amphitheater headlining tour in the United States since their Black Holes & Revelations Tour in 2007. This will be Thirty Seconds To Mars' first U.S. Tour since 2014's Carnivores Tour with Linkin Park and AFI. Thirty Seconds To Mars are close to finishing their fifth album, but progress on Muse's next album is unknown. The band has been spotted in the studio in the last few months (as seen in this drum battle between vocalist and guitarist Matt Bellamy's son and drummer Dom Howard). The band suggested the idea of moving away from albums after Drones and instead focussing on one-off and EP releases then touring those songs. Whether or not an EP is on the way for Muse is unknown as of now.

  • May 20, 2017: West Palm Beach, Florida (Perfect Vodka Amphitheater)

There are many gaps in the touring schedule, so it seems like that either more tour dates are to be announced or that Muse or Thirty Seconds To Mars will play their own separate shows in between. A formal announcement from both bands is expected on Monday. We'll keep you updated on any more news.
