Foo Fighters Will Be Recording A New Album This Year!

The Foo Fighters have been announcing tour dates in Europe over the last few months, and with the announcement of their first US tour date of 2017 came a bit more information: the band will be recording a new album this year!

2016 was a quiet year for the band as they stepped away from touring and the band to do their own things for a bit. The hiatus didn't last long though, as the band are coming back full force. Several festival appearances throughout Europe and now the BottleRock festival in Napa Valley, California this summer alongside the other headliners Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and Maroon 5 means a big Foo storm is brewing.

David Graham, the CEO of Latitude 38, the company managing the festival, said in an interview with the local Napa Valley Register claimed that "The Foo Fighters are in the studio all next year recording a new album and BottleRock may be their only show in 2017 in North America."

This might come as bad news to some North American fans, but with new music on the way it won't be long before the band is back for a full-fledged tour! The next record will be the band's follow up to their eighth record, 2014's Sonic Highways.
