Immortal Reviews' Most Anticipated Albums Of 2017

The year's almost up, and it's time to start looking ahead to the new year. We have some big plans, and some of music's biggest artists do too. Here's some of the albums we're most looking forward to in 2017.

Linkin Park

Let's face it - you like Linkin Park whether or not you care to admit it. As a band that's constantly reinventing themselves with every record, we're excited to see what they have in store next. They seem to be taking a lighter approach than their hard rock beast of a record that The Hunting Party was in 2014, but it's seeming the shape up to be a lot more personal. We're excited.

Thirty Seconds To Mars

Thirty Seconds To Mars is another band that you can never quite predict. Personally, their my favorite band of all time, so I'm excited to see what they have in store. Whether they return to their alternative rock anthems of A Beautiful Lie or continue their art rock exploration that Love Lust Faith + Dreams started, their new album surely will spark some attention.

Muse

We're not 100% sure if Muse will be releasing a new record this year, but we can hope. Drones may have been a very straightforward record, but it was absolutely mental - and don't even mention how incredible it was live. Muse always set the bar high, so whenever they decide to release their follow up to Drones, we're sure it'll be something epic.

Paramore

It's been a minute since Paramore released their self-titled record (all the way back in 2013)! They've been busy working on their next album this year, and with a few surprises in the lineup. We're not 100% sure about how things are shaping up, but we're sure everything will culminate awesomely in 2017.

Evanescence

Evanescence may be becoming a meme of sorts, but their comeback this year has proven they deserve some respect. They've come back in a big way, the band sounding more powerful than they have in a long time. They played a new song on their last tour, so they're definitely cooking up something - will we see a new album in 2017?

Aurora

We know Aurora only just released her debut this year, but she's been finding the right songs for her follow up. We're hoping she finds those songs sooner than later, because we can't wait to hear what else she has to offer.

Kanye West

Kanye made several promises about releasing new music this year, and besides The Life Of Pablo, we didn't see much else this year. He's been going through some stuff, so there's no rush, but it'll be interesting to see if he has anything up his sleeve for the new year.

Kendrick Lamar

untitled unmastered. was great, but it could've used a bit more. A follow up to To Pimp A Butterfly feels long overdue - we can't rush greatness, but we can hope that greatness will be coming soon.

Eminem

Eminem's been keeping it on the DL lately, barely popping up this year except for a feature on Skylar Grey's record and on the Suicide Squad soundtrack. He's been preparing an album, but will it be out in 2017? Time will tell.

System Of A Down

They've been without an album longer than Tool has, and it seems it's finally time for SOAD to return. The band has been preparing some new material for a new record, so let's hope it's out in 2017!

Tool

Didn't see this one coming, did you?

That's a wrap for our end-of-the-year lists! Thanks for supporting us in 2016 - we hope you'll come back and visit in 2017. Stay tuned in the next few days for a post regarding some changes to the website (as you may have seen) and more. Happy new year!
