Cardi B Drops Out Of Bruno Mars Tour To Focus On Being A Mother

Cardi B is one of music's most demanded artist right now, but a new addition to her life demands her more. Cardi B is dropping out of a fall tour with Bruno Mars to focus on being a mother.

Cardi B gave birth last month to Kulture Kiara Cephus, her and MigosOffset's first child. The couple were both meant to embark on tour soon, Offset with Drake and Migos (a tour which has now been delayed to August) and Cardi B with Bruno Mars throughout North America this fall.

In a statement on Twitter, Cardi B wrote: "I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I'd be able to bring her on tour with me, but I think I really underestimated this whole mommy thing." She continued, "Not only am I just not physically ready, I'm not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it's not healthy for her to be on the road." Read the full statement below:

Bruno Mars also responded, supporting Cardi B's decision: "You are absolutely doing the right thing. I also know we'll share the stage when the time is right." Mars' XXIVK Tour across North America is still expected to continue, but no replacement for Cardi B has yet been announced. It is currently unknown if there will be one. Mars' tour begins on September 7 in Denver and continues throughout the fall before ending with a four-night residency at Los Angeles' Staples Center in October.
