Austin Carlile Leaves Of Mice & Men Due To Health Issues

It's been no mystery that Austin Carlile has been at odds with his health: a cancelled European Tour this year as well as several hospitalizations due to his battle with Marfan Syndrome has left him and Of Mice & Men in a pretty bad place.

Before the year ends, he has dropped the news that he will no longer be a part of Of Mice & Men. He cites not being able to scream without facing extreme pain and spinal fluid rushing out with his tears as the primary reasons.

His decision is hard, but he also started his letter by stating that he has been able to live his dreams over the last few years. Singing 'Faint' with Linkin Park, befriending Avenged SevenfoldMetallica, and Korn, and traveling the world are some of his wildest dreams that managed to come true. He's leaving the band while recovering in Costa Rica, still writing while recovering. He made it clear he's not done with music.

Read his full message in this letter he tweeted:

Of Mice & Men will continue forward without Carlile. It is unknown if they will go on as a four piece or if they will be hiring a new vocalist, but their touring plans for 2017 remain unchanged. We wish Austin Carlile a calm recovery and are excited to see when he returns to music.
